This story starts when Alanna of Trebond becomes Alan and goes to the palace in Corus, Tortall to become a knight, disguised as a boy. She adventures and perserveres through the lessons in sword play, weaponry, magic and chivarly, making friendships and enemies along the way. This is an amazing book and it is so incredibly inspiring to women who fight and become who they want to be. I thoroughly LOVED reading this book and I think many others would enjoy it as well.

In a time when girls are forbidden to be warriors, Alanna of Trebond wants nothing more than to be a knight of the realm of Tortall. So she finds a way to switch places with her twin brother, Thom. Disguised as a boy, Alanna begins her training as a page at the palace of King Roald. But the road to knighthood, as she discovers, is not an easy one. Book Reviews (6)
All I know is that Alanna is going under cover as a boy and changed her name to be Alan of Trebond so she could go to the place to become a knight. During chapter six is really exciting. And of course my first name is from the book. I hope you read it soon. And that is my report about the book.
I love Tamora Pierce's books! Alanna is a wonderful character but George is probably my favorite.
