Waffles have been around since the Middle Ages, when bakeries trying to compete with the monasteries in the wafer market, came up with this scrumptious treat. However, while the recipe may have changed over the years, their look has not altered much. Sure you can get waffle makers that spew out different shapes, but the end result is the same - two dimensional crispy treats crisscrossed with horizontal and vertical lines.

Now, two designers have created a radical waffle maker that churns out delicious treats in the shape of miniature furniture that looks good enough to furnish the finest dollhouse and tastes, even better! The unusual gadget is the result of the creative minds of two budding designers, Ryosuke Fukusada and Rui Rereira. The two who met accidently in Milan, Italy are trying to establish themselves as product designers and this project that they call Sapora Del Mobili or Taste of Furniture is their first collaborative creation.

However, the one of a kind waffle maker that was unveiled at the recently held Milan Furniture fair has not been created for commercial purposes, but to make a statement about the general lack of innovation in furniture design.

Despite that, the waffle maker is making headlines all over the world, which makes us believe that some corporation will convince them to sell their design and start manufacturing it for commercial use - We sure hope so!
